A local chapter of the coastal area of the Society for Human Resources Management. The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) is the worlds largest association devoted to human resource smanagement. Representing more than 210,000 individual members, the Society's mission is both to serve human resources management professionals and to advance the profession. Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 550 affiliated chapters within the United States and members in more than 100 countries.
We believe that our association of HR professionals is your best source for keeping in touch with and contributing to the Human Resources community of the coastal area. Our chapter offers monthly meetings and periodic seminars on timely HR topics, including legislative issues affecting employers , workshops to enhance and broaden your professional skills, and an excellent way to network with your HR colleagues.

Monthly Meeting
Our meetings are held the third Wenesday of each month starting at 12:00 PM at the Brunswick Golf Course Country Club. Lunch will be availabe for members and guests.
Our meeting is scheduled for 21 July 2010. We will have a short business meeting at 11:30-12:00 followed by a one-hour training session (12:00-1:00PM) on Uniformed Servics Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) provided by Tom Sharp, Georgia , ESGR Ombudsman Director. This training qualifies for 1.75 CEU's on certifications. Please note that this meeting will be a little longer than normal. All members must complete the full hour of training in order to receive HRCI credit.
